COMMON QUESTIONS

Glamping, short for “glamorous camping,” lets you experience all the beauty and tranquility of nature without sacrificing comfort. Imagine starry skies, fresh air, and quiet mornings combined effortlessly with luxurious amenities and thoughtful touches designed to help you truly unplug.

At Dunya Camp, we have elevated glamping through superior design, carefully curating every detail, from luxurious fabrics to handcrafted furnishings, to blend seamlessly with nature. But this is not a typical hotel stay. There is no front desk and no room service. Instead, you will find yourself immersed in nature with all the comforts of a beautifully appointed safari tent.

The best part is that your safari tent fully opens up to let the fresh air in, creating an unmatched indoor-outdoor living experience. No closed-in structure can immerse you in nature quite like this.

WHAT IS GLAMPING?

We are an adult-oriented property, and all our tents sleep two people. We have a strict no babies and children under 12 policy. Children 12 years of age or older are welcome, but they would need to be booked into a separate tent. Please note there is an automatic $1000 fine for violating this policy.

CAN I BRING MY KIDS?

For the privacy and enjoyment of all our guests, we do not allow pets. Thank you for understanding.
Service animals are welcome with proper documentation.

CAN I BRING MY PETS?

We have one tent that is handicap friendly with the following features.
• easily accessible parking
• ramp entry to tent and spa deck
• rails in the shower & toilet
Please note that our common areas and walking trails are not handicap accessible.

ARE THE TENTS HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE?

Check-in starts at 5 pm.
We cannot accommodate any early check-in or late check-out requests. Please plan to arrive no earlier than 5:00 PM. Our crew will be on-site carefully preparing your accommodations, and arriving earlier may disrupt their work. We strongly recommend arriving before dusk as the sunsets are spectacular, and the country roads are far easier to navigate.

Check-out is at 11 am.
Due to the time it takes to turnover the units, we cannot offer any late check-outs.

WHEN IS CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT?

Yes, weekends are a flat rate with a three-night minimum and Friday to Monday stay. Weekdays have a two-night minimum. Our check-in and check-out days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Operating in a remote location presents unique challenges, and we have chosen these days to minimize disruptions and maintain a peaceful atmosphere. This schedule ensures your stay remains tranquil, without the constant background noise of cleaning and vacuuming.

If you can only stay for one or two nights, it's important to note that the pricing structure for weekends remains the same. Opting for a two-night stay does not alter the cost and allows for a more relaxed Sunday check-out, compared to the standard 11 am departure.

IS THERE A MINIMUM NIGHT STAY?

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

No, we do not allow day visitors at the property, even if they are with registered guests.

DO YOU ALLOW DAY VISITORS?

There are no on-site food services at this time.

We love the experience of cooking outdoors, and if you feel the same, we have made it easy for you by providing a gas grill on the covered patio and a campfire pit on the lower deck.

If cooking isn't your thing, we offer a breakfast and lunch hamper for purchase or you can reserve one of our decadent private chef experiences. In addition, there are several lovely restaurants in Summerville or Mentone which are 15-20mins away.

IS THERE A RESTAURANT ON SITE?

The tents have a split AC/Heat unit that will keep you comfortable all year round. We also have a wood-burning fireplace for extra warmth that creates a beautiful atmosphere of intimacy and romance.

Do note that while the mini-split is effective, it can never match the temperature levels of a fully insulated home.

Our aim is to provide an authentic experience in the great outdoors while being as comfortable as possible in a tented lodging.

IS THERE AC/HEAT IN THE TENTS?

Our safari tents do not have TVs. At Dunya Camp, we encourage guests to unplug, unwind, and reconnect with nature. Instead of screens, you'll find starry skies, peaceful surroundings, and plenty of quiet moments to truly relax.

WHAT IS A HYDROPHOBIC MATTRESS?

Dunya is in an unspoiled and untouched corner of North Georgia. You'll occasionally see animals that are common in rural areas - deer, wild turkeys, and many beautiful birds. We are not in bear country, but we have heard reports of an occasional bear passing through the area. Please do not leave food outside.

As with most remote and rural properties, there are some snakes. Please do not stray from the roads and walking paths; leave them alone if you see one.

ARE THERE ANIMALS ON THE PROPERTY?

Yes, We have Wi-Fi.

Verizon and AT&T provide the best cell phone coverage on property. The rest of the cell phone providers have spotty service.

IS THERE WI-FI/CELL SERVICE?

You can cancel your reservation for a full refund within 48 hours of booking, as long as your check-in date is more than 4 weeks away. If you need to reschedule, there is a $300 fee, and it must be done at least 4 weeks before your check-in date. Unfortunately, cancellations or rescheduling cannot be accommodated within 4 weeks of arrival for any reason. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unexpected situations.

DO THE SAFARI TENTS HAVE TV'S?

Dunya Camp takes on a whole new charm in the winter. Our key features shine during the colder months, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a comfortable winter experience.

Our sauna and hot tub offer a warm retreat, perfect for relaxing amidst nature. The wood-burning fireplace creates a snug vibe for shared moments. With insulated decks, heating from a mini-split unit, and additional portable heaters, the tent stays warm and toasty.

Georgia winters are typically mild. Open up the flaps during the day, and with the sun streaming in, enjoy the warmth of a crackling fire, creating a romantic and cozy ambiance that adds a special touch to your stay.

WHAT IS THE CLOSEST AIRPORT

Our top-of-the-line mattresses are specially designed for use in outdoor lodging. Their hydrophobic properties mean they do not retain moisture like regular foam or latex mattresses. A silver treatment eliminates bacteria and viruses, resulting in a clean and healthy mattress inside and outside.
